Kimberly M.J. Sims to Present at TexasBarCLE: Handling Your First (or Next) Justice of the Peace/Municipal Court Proceeding

Palter Sims Martinez is pleased to announce that our partner, Kimberly M.J. Sims, will be speaking at the upcoming TexasBarCLE program Handling Your First (or Next) Justice of the Peace/Municipal Court Proceeding on May 29, 2026.

The program will take place live in person at the Texas Law Center in Austin, with a live webcast available the same day and a webcast replay on June 30, 2026. The program provides 6.25 hours of MCLE credit, including 1.5 hours of ethics.

Kimberly will present on “Handling Your First (or Next) Eviction Case,” a practical session focused on procedure, strategy, and common issues that arise in eviction proceedings. Her session is scheduled for 3:15 p.m., and will address procedural fundamentals as well as practical considerations attorneys encounter when handling eviction matters in justice and municipal courts.

This program is designed for attorneys seeking foundational guidance as well as those looking to strengthen their practice in justice and municipal court proceedings. Sessions throughout the day will cover municipal court practice, justice court procedure, small claims matters, repair and remedy cases, code enforcement, and traffic cases, with contributions from experienced judges and practitioners across Texas.
