Craig Stokley and Nathanial Martinez win federal jury verdict in favor of Eagle Suspensions, Inc.

March 21, 2013 by Craig Stokley

The firm is proud to announce that on March 20, 2013, Craig Stokley and Nathanial Martinez won a federal jury verdict for their client — Eagle Suspensions, Inc.   After a three day jury trial before the Honorable A. Joe Fish in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, the jury awarded Eagle $327,500 in damages.  Included within those damages the jury awarded $30,000 in exemplary punitive damages.  Judge Fish is set to consider the amount of attorney fees to be awarded to Eagle in post-trial briefing.

The case involved a shipment that was seized at Mexican Customs.  Eagle paid $90,000 for the shipment and hired the defendant to arrange for the shipment.  In attendance on behalf of Eagle at trial were Eagle’s Vice-President, Everett Zeller, Craig Stokley, Nathanial Martinez, and senior paralegal Alex Gamino.
